The life you live is so different from mine. While not 180* different it’s at least 100* and that’s why I’m here - to take a peek into something completely different than my middle class suburban life. Congrats on the 100 newsletters. My favorite, and the one I keep in my inbox to reread every once in awhile, is #44, Why Do We Weed. It was achingly beautiful.
Your newsletter is one that I stop to read as soon as I see it has arrived. I have learned from you, laughed and cried with you, and am so happy you decided to start this. Congratulations on this milestone and thank you for sharing your expertise, experience, and life with us.
Ever owning property is completely out of my reach. If I did and had a mile-high milestone like 100, I’d commemorate it by planting a special tree. It’s a great investment to remind us that we keep growing too.
Congratulations on #100! I only started reading this summer, I think after you were mentioned in Culture Study. I came for your musings on making friends in a new place, and stayed for all of it. I’ve been reading steadily through the archive and am kind of sad I’m almost caught up because soon I’ll have to wait for new installments. I can’t pick a favorite, but your writings on community and making friends have struck a cord with me.
Congrats Kelton. Your hard work rewards all of us (you included). I always hang on to a nugget of excellence in your writing; perhaps a turn of phrase, a beautifully constructed sentence, or a thought that rings so true that I can feel a tug of emotion. As we look to make a big change in our lives, this particular piece will help me to embrace what I think and hope lies ahead. Thanks as always. Here's to ever more people discovering your writing and the community it creates. LT
Congratulations on #100, and all the ones that came before, and all the ones we still have to look forward to. I love the community you've built with this newsletter. You're such a wonderful storyteller, and I love how you approach themes from every possible angle - especially the ones I don't expect. Like everyone else, I love the one night stand story, the explorations of friendship/loneliness, and also anything you write about houseplants.
I'm so happy I found you and the community. Part of the allure of this newsletter is never knowing what is being shared. My favorite of course is getting a peek inside of authentic mountain living... not the Boulder or Jackson Hole kind but this mysterious place that you're truly one with nature.
I started my own newletter because reading yours gave me the courage to dive into experimenting with essay form of writing and sharing a thirst for living a vibrant life.
Thank you for sharing the stats. I have 58 readers. I started 16 weeks ago with my husband being my champion and first paid subscriber to see how the button worked.
I don't consider myself a writer but a lover of words and the way I communicate best.
The number 100 is an accomplishment for you and a gift for us.
Thanks for the inspiration and here's to another 💯!!
Congratulations on #100 and on two years. I missed all but the past nine months or so of the writing and community. But definitely #87 - the one night stand title that sucked me in to a post that is really about loving rescue animals - that was the one I shared and shared. And keep re-reading every time I need a good laugh and a little warmth for my heart.
Congratulations. I do enjoy your newsletter—and having it not be the same each week is part of the charm. I am still hopeful of finding my own voice believing I have some perspectives that would add to our greater community. More to come on that front soon. Thanks for the weekly reminder that it’s possible—even when if one is older before they get started.
This essay is like a group hug :-)

Ginny that is so sweet to share, thank you so much.

Congrats!
I love that. We'd planned to do that to honor Snoots, so maybe it's time.

Congratulations on 100 issues/two years/continuing to grow roots both online and off! Looking forward to the next 100.

Thank you for being such a big part of it <3
Normally I’m verbose but today I’ll keep it simple: I’m very thankful to know you and read your thoughts each week. 💘
Thanks for being part of it 🥹

There's a foster kitten on my desk right now that is doing HIS BEST to convince me he should stay. Thank you for sharing!
Of course he is! He knows a good thing when he sees it.
Congrats, Kelton! Your weekly stories have been woven into our cozy Sunday morning coffee routine. 🥰 Cheers to the next 200!
Thank you <3 <3
