Love all the little quirky discoveries about living in a remote mountainous area. Reminds me of working trails in the back country and coming across old miners cabins, diggings and long abandoned items. A nice link to the past.
Nice interlude - and so appreciate that you blog writers need a break from writing to us once in while. Love this method of stress relief but still sharing another insight into Kelton Wright(s).
This was enchanting! I'm also a writer and appreciate that sometimes you just want to get out of your head and share what's around you without scribbling. This was a wonderful Sunday morning gift. Thank you and as far as I'm concerned, repeat at will!
I loved this sensory delight! Although I admit I expected more audio of nature, like the creaking of the swings, the protest of a wooden door being opened, a minute of the microphone being left in a clearing so we could hear the wind rustle the leaves and the grasses, the chirping of the birds, and other audible treats to discover. :) All that to say, MORE! Loved it!
Love this so much! And love my new Shangrilogs swag (proudly stuck to my favorite travel mug)
I live in rural Maine, and all throughout the woods are old stone walls. When I was a kid my dad and I used to pick one and follow it as far as we could, making up stories about whose land it was, and what they might have done on it. We found so many old stone foundations, dug wells, long-abandoned family cemeteries. There's a yet-to-be-explored rock wall in the woods behind my current house, maybe I'll take my kids along it this weekend <3
Loved this! It really allowed me to imagine in greater detail where you live and rethinking living remotely.
My favorite was the community greenhouse. This is a great idea for my own neighborhood. I live in an HOA where the board is more concerned with cutting down our pine trees than contributing to the good of our small community.
Anyway, great change of pace... I hope you do this in the winter while traipsing through the forest.
This was a wonderful surprise on a Sunday afternoon--thank you! I enjoyed "seeing" all of these places and being on a walk with you (maybe you were running, but I definitely was not!). I have tons of photos of interesting little places in my town that saw on my walks. I used to post them regularly on social media but haven't in a while. Perhaps you have inspired me to try something new! :)

Truly. That’s my favorite part.
I'm very late catching up with this post, but I loved it. More please!

Very fun to just take everyone on a walk. 10/10 would do again.

I really loved this one!!! The audio and pictures were both so soothing and a good way to slow down in the middle of a busy day. Thanks for sharing!

Liked this one! For me, it’s fog in the morning, sitting low along the river, chased away when (and if) the sun warms up
I've grown so accustomed to celsius that I read 35 degrees and thought "In the Rockies in SEPTEMBER!!!!" LOL.
Love this, if for nothing more than for the expression of creativity it is. Keep exploring your “voice”, literally lol!
