Hard to say I loved this story since it involved injury pain and suffering BUT so well written. All emotions present. You've done it again. May your mountain biking skills become as good as your writing skills - the both have pitfalls but you know how to get back up and keep going!

Ouch. I'll stick to injuring myself trail running thanks.

I questioned 14,000 words in my mind, but not enough to confirm. All's well that ends well doesn't seem the appropriate cliche. It's true that adventure/fun doesn't begin until something goes haywire, but some unavoidable mishaps defy logic. A painful story told well, even through drool and blood. Mend quickly. Adventure calls and mishaps are inevitable. Peace.

I subscribed...I hope that helps you heal. I did something similar. Butternut squash soup is remarkably tasty through a straw and still really good at room temp. Take care!

Wow! Epic story - ah, short adventure novel! Lots of great detail and bloody colorful. Even great protagonists/antagonists. Even metaphors about the fall of man/woman & the effects of gravity. Keep writing like your hair’s on fire but be careful up there.

I didn’t really have time today! But I couldn’t stop reading! Sorry for the pain you went through, but glad the adventure and your high spirit ended ok!

I went over the bars a few years ago, got a pretty good whack on the head. But (knocking on wood here) nothing like this. Feel better soon.
