Hope the PT is able to help you feel better! If you have the energy, I found brain puzzles were helpful to get my girl Juno to relax a bit. One thing that worked for us and didn’t require anything new is to lay out a towel, sprinkle kibbles/treats on it, then roll it up and maybe tie it in a loose knot for him to explore and unravel. Good luck, and solidarity! Juno’s on week 4 of recovery from knee surgery, with 4-5 more to go before anything more than a slow walk is allowed, so we’re doing lots of these same things again. Hope Jib lets you get some rest!

I have to confess I'm not (yet) a paid subscriber but that paid post is doing a hell of a sales job. Too good. Calling babies "baby" freaked me out as well especially in antenatal classes like "and then you'll put baby down for a nap" and I was like sorry which baby is this now? I saw your other post with the photo of the IKEA trolley filled with maternity pads and thought back to our IKEA trolley 3.5 years ago filled with my wife's maternity pads and I think that's the moment you feel you're truly ready but also go "oh shit...". Wishing you the very best of luck with everything, from what I've read THE baby is extremely lucky to have you as a mum.

Oh and re towels - we don't have guest towels, we just have just enough decent towels that we can make some available for rare guests. But my company has these little white Turkish towels in the office showers that I thought would be great for guests, they're called Vision V500. But this is the UK so maybe a little scarce across the pond...

Rest up! Tell Jib to call me if he’s feeling needy and I’ll talk him through it.
