My favorite is the living room. I love the couch, color, and plants. You inspired me to get a hibiscus. Did you know there are 200 different types of hibiscus? There is a type named Hardy Hibiscus. It grows here in the north. I feel the symbolism in this plant of my life. Great read, I love the images, and thanks for sharing home.
Love everything about this house. I love the last bit about not just grabbing your shirt and going home. So happy you've made friends. I knew you would. Cheers!
What a lovely home! I particularly love the evidence that you have pets!! I feel like all bathrooms should be designed with potential kitty litter pans in mind. That view!!
Love this - cool to finally see the cabin, especially in contrast to the treehouse/spider box pics you posted a while back. You've got a knack for making a home.
What a wonderful home! I want to curl up on your couch in front of the fire with a good book. You are so generous to let us in. Making a community is such a wonderful thing. You don't know it is a success until all of a sudden, like this morning, you realize it is! Take a bath in that gorgeous bathroom and be well.
Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing your home with us. Absolutely love the pictures. That fireplace, still my beating heart! And the success at creating community, just lovely. 💞
Okay, first thanks for the tour. Fascinating to see what your cabin looks like and it looks lovely.
Second, thanks for reminding me that I'm happy that stage of our life is past. I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park but reading the list of things you have to tend do gave me flashbacks to fixing up a 1906 Victorian in Tacoma, WA. Never again. LOL.
Finally, :...like I understand many people find Robert Pattinson attractive — but neither do it for me." One hundred percent agreement! LOL.
I love it all! We also live in an old house (1930s bungalow) and own a 119-year-old building that was once a mercantile then hardware store and now event venue. We know alllll about the creatures that come in--especially the bats!
Thanks for sharing this tour--I think I will go check out Ruggable now (we already own two, but you have me wanting more color now!).
A FANTASY of the insane. It’s so much work that sometimes I have to step back and remind myself what a treasure it is (full of 100+ year old treasures on the top floor storage). And there are weeks (like last week!) when the plumbing craps out again and I want to just sell it.
Well! Not really what I would call "cabin". More "log cabin-esque". But fantastic! Love the living room the bedrooms, the kitchen, actually, all of it. And certainly also that woodworking shop.
I'm sure that you must be very happy living there, the place just shouts happiness.

I did not know that about hibiscus trees! Gosh, now I need to find out which kind this is. I'm so glad you got one!
Only a year in and "home" in so many ways! Well done! Well written - great to read and see.
So many lovely colours and comfy spots and open space, absolutely love it ! Thank you for sharing your house with us :)))
My pleasure!

There is not a room where I’m not like “but how will this work with a cat” lol
Love love love and more love

Put that on my gravestone.
Thanks for sharing. You have a beautiful and inspiring home. ❤️

The fireplace really stuns me every day 😭
It is so, so dreamy! And just reading about the future plans is so exciting. I love a house tour. Thank you for letting us in!!
My absolute pleasure 💞
Absolutely stunning. Upstairs looks epic in scale yet so cosy. So much character plus that view of the MOUNTAINS! Thank you for this share.
So much room to play in the upstairs - should be fun to figure out how to use it all!

Omg a 119 year old mercantile? A FANTASY.

This is a home. Not a cabin, nor a house, but a well-loved home. Thank you for sharing these photos!
Thanks for enjoying them! 💛

😂 we have this argument a lot here. Does the sheer size of it negate the log cabin construction? Ben thinks so. I’m a little torn.
